If I become a HedgeWorld member, what do I get?

HedgeWorld has 3 different membership levels: Basic, Premium, and Premium Plus.

Basic membership includes access to any free news articles published in the previous 7 days and a daily email wrap of the previous day's news (The Alternative Advantage) .

Premium membership, for Fund Managers and Service Providers, includes access to the full news archive; access to the new fund launches section; access to archived research reports; access to premium news stories.

Premium Plus membership, for Investors and Advisors, has all the features of a Premium membership, as well as access to the Lipper Hedge Fund database, a screening and analysis tool for hedge fund allocators.

Who should join HedgeWorld?

HedgeWorld welcomes anyone! Whether you are an Investors who is qualified to invest in hedge funds, a Hedge Fund Managers, a Service Provider, Regulator, Academic - HedgeWorld has something for you. To better understand these terms, click here.

How much does it cost?

Basic membership is free. HedgeWorld Premium and Premium Plus subscriptions carry a subscription fee. For additional membership information please click here.

I registered as a Fund Manager, Service Provider or Other category - why can't I do a search of the database or order reports?

If you are registered on HedgeWorld as a Service Provider or Other, you do not currently have access to such features as the TASS Database and Portfolios, which are available only to Accredited Investors and Intermediaries. This is due to the fact that the SEC mandates that all Members who access performance data from the TASS database do so to ensure that all the legal criteria is met for access to this particular information.

If you are a service provider for example, who also meets the criteria for being an accredited investor, get all the benefits HedgeWorld provides by registering twice and thus simultaneously having two HedgeWorld memberships. Each account will have its own username and password.

The benefits available to you while you are online will depend on which account you are logged into. If you are logged in with your service provider username, you will be able to access only service provider benefits. To access the database, you will have to log in again as an investor with your investor username.

I'm an Investor who doesn't want to be contacted by Hedge Fund Managers - can HedgeWorld assure my privacy?

Yes! HedgeWorld does not sell its membership database to anyone.

I'm a Fund Manager who doesn't want to be contacted by potential investors who are not qualified to invest in hedge funds - can HedgeWorld screen them for me?

Yes! As part of the registration process, all investor Members must certify they are qualified to invest in hedge funds and tell HedgeWorld what kinds of funds they are interested in.

Do I have to make a financial commitment to join HedgeWorld?

Not at the basic level. However, HedgeWorld offers many other features beyond the basic level which are part of our Premium and Premium Plus subscriptions.
