Chris Acito, CIO, Gapstow Capital Partners

Chris has responsibility for managing the overall business, as well as investing each of the Gapstow funds. Prior to founding Gapstow in early 2009, Chris was the Global Chief Operating Officer for Investcorp's Hedge Fund Group, which, at its peak, allocated nearly $8.5 billion in client and proprietary capital. Prior to Investcorp, Chris enjoyed a ten-year career as a management consultant, beginning with Booz-Allen & Hamilton's Banking & Capital Markets practice. In 1998 he joined John Casey, Kevin Quirk, and others to build a business strategy consulting firm which focused exclusively on the global investment management industry. The team was originally part of Barra, where Mr. Acito was a Managing Director, but later became independent as Casey, Quirk & Acito. Chris began his career as an economist. He served on the President's Council of Economic Advisers in both the Bush and Clinton administrations, where his areas of expertise were financial markets and macroeconomic policy. He was also the Managing Director of the Center for Population Economics, a Chicago-based group dedicated to researching issues in health economics under the direction of Noble Prize winner Robert W. Fogel. Chris holds a B.A. in Economics from Duke University and an M.A. from the University of Chicago, and is currently the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey.

Monel Amin, Founder & Managing Principal, arthance

Monel Amin is founder of arthance, an advisory firm with risk management strategies and solutions for alternative asset managers and institutional and private investors . Prior to that she was Head of Liquid Investments Risk at Citi. Monelís experiences include managing risk for multi-billion dollar institutional hedge fund platform and fund of fund investments, corporate pension plans, liquid alternatives, bank-owned life insurance policies and structured investment vehicles.

Brian Barr joined the Wolfson Group in 2011. Wolfson Group is a single family office that has been investing in hedge and PE funds since the 70s. Prior to joining Wolfson Group, from 2009-2011, Mr. Barr was an equity analyst and head of hedge fund research at SFG Asset Advisors. Prior to joining SFG Asset Advisors, from 2008-2009, Mr. Barr was a hedge fund analyst at Thomas W. Weiselís family office. Prior to Thomas Weisel, from 2007-2008, Mr. Barr was an equity analyst at SabreValue Asset Management. Brian graduated with honors from UCSB receiving a BA in economics with an emphasis in accounting.

Betsy Battle, Founding Partner, Lone Peak Partners Management LP

Betsy Battle has over three decades of financial services and investment experience. In 2008 she founded Lone Peak Partners in New York which offers customized and commingled solutions for global investors in multi-manager hedge fund portfolios. From 2000 to 2008, Ms. Battle served as Director of Manager Selection and a member of the Management Committee at Soros Fund Management LLC (ďSFMĒ). At SFM, in addition to managing the external hedge fund program for the Quantum group and George Soros, she also built the manager selection and due diligence processes as well as the multi-manager portfolio construction and monitoring methodologies. Prior to SFM, Ms. Battle held positions at Bankers Trust, Citicorp and JP Morgan, primarily as a manager in Global Sales and Trading. She received a BA degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1976.

Ardsley Partners portfolios were allocated long/short amongst healthcare, technology, telecommunications, energy and other sectors. Andrew Dakos, Principal/Portfolio Manager, Bulldog Investors

Andrew Dakos is a Principal at Bulldog Investors, LLC, an investment advisor to several private investment funds as well as Special Opportunities Fund (NYSE: SPE), with an emphasis on value investing, particularly in closed-end funds (CEFs). Bert Davis, President, Granville Capital, Inc.

Mr. Davis serves as the President of Granville Capital, Inc., having joined in 2008 to focus on hedge fund manager research, including both credit and equity related strategies, and portfolio management for Granvilleís funds of hedge funds. Prior to joining Granville Capital, Mr. Davis was Vice President International for Shurtape Technologies LLC, a privately held business with over 1,000 employees. During his tenure with Shurtape Technologies LLC, he visited over 60 countries and gained extensive international experience managing, investing in, and developing entrepreneurial global businesses.

Mr. Davis currently serves on the Board of the Greensboro Childrenís Museum as Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee. He also serves on the Investment Committees of the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro and Greensboro Day School. In addition, he is President of the Board of Directors of Shurtape Peru, S.A.

Mr. Davis attended Princeton University, receiving an AB in 1988. He also attended both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law and School of Business, receiving JD and MBA degrees in 1993. Mr. Davis is licensed by the NC Board of Law Examiners and is an active member of the State Bar. Thomas Deinet, Executive Director, Hedge Fund Standards Board

Thomas Deinet was appointed Executive Director of the Hedge Fund Standards Board (HFSB) in September 2008. In 2007, Mr. Deinet joined the working group to project manage the development of practice standards proposed by 14 leading international hedge fund managers that led to the establishment of the HFSB.

Prior to joining the HFSB, he was a senior manager at Oliver Wyman, where he extensively worked with major financial institutions in Europe covering asset management as well as corporate and investment banking. Mr. Deinet also worked as an analyst in energy trading for a major commodities trading firm.

Dawn Fitzpatrick is currently Global Head and Chief Investment Officer of OíConnor, an alternative asset management firm based in New York. As CIO, she oversees all aspects of the firmís portfolio management, capital allocation and risk management as well as communicating with firmís investors. Ms. Fitzpatrick also serves as Head of the Tactical Trading Strategy within OíConnorís flagship fund, the OíConnor Global Multi-Strategy Alpha Fund.

Caroline Gillespie, Managing Director, Marketable Alternatives, Commonfund

Caroline Gillespie shares responsibility for portfolio analysis, manager identification, due diligence, and investment monitoring. Prior to joining Commonfund in 2005, Caroline served as a Partner and Principal for Contego Capital Management, LLC, specializing in customized funds of hedge funds. Alexis Graham has 20 years of experience working in the alternative fund industry having co-founded Acceleration Capital Group, (ďACGĒ) in March of 2008 and Accelerate Product Partners, (ďAPPĒ) in January 2014. Seema Hingorani, Chief Investment Officer, Bureau of Asset Management , NYC Office of the Comptroller

Ms. Seema R. Hingorani currently serves as Chief Investment Officer with the Bureau of Asset Management in the New York City Comptrollerís Office, which manages NYCís pension fund assets of approximately $140BN. Ms. Hingorani is an active member of the Board of Directors of Project Enterprise, a non-profit microfinance organization dedicated to supporting and to developing entrepreneurs and small businesses (most of which are Women and Women-owned) in under-resourced communities in New York City. Ms. Hingorani has worked with several organizations focused on issues concerning Women and Girls and is a prolific speaker on the topic of a more robust inclusion of Women in the corporate sector. In 1995, Mr. Lasry formed Avenue with his sister Sonia Gardner with less than $10 million in capital from friends and family. Today, Avenue is one of the largest distressed debt investors globally, managing assets of approximately $13.0 billion, with headquarters in New York City, and offices in London, Luxembourg, Munich, and four offices throughout Asia.

Mr. Lasry is known as a pioneer in distressed investing which has been the focus of his professional career for over 30 years.

After law school, Mr. Lasry clerked for Edward Ryan, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York. He spent the following year practicing law at Angel & Frankel, which focused on bankruptcies.

Mr. Lasry subsequently became the Director of the private debt department at R.D. Smith, the firm where he first became involved in ďtrade claims,Ē the market in purchasing and selling to investors the unsecured claims of vendors and other creditors against a debtor. In 1987, he moved to Cowen & Company where he was Co-Director of the bankruptcy and corporate reorganization department. It was at Cowen that he caught the attention of the Texas investor Robert Bass, who was a client of the firm. When he left Cowen, Mr. Lasry went to manage over $100 million for the Robert Bass Group, Inc., where he invested in bank debt, senior bonds, and trade claims. The Bass fund Mr. Lasry oversaw was called Amroc Investments, L.P., and, at the time, it stood as one of the largest distressed funds in the U.S. In 1990, he co-founded a boutique distressed brokerage firm, keeping the Amroc name and maintaining the affiliation with the Robert Bass Group.

Mr. Lasry serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and as a member of the Board of Directors of both The Clinton Global Initiative and the 92nd Street YMHA.

Mr. Lasry received a B.A. in History from Clark University (1981) and a J.D. from New York Law School (1984).

Abigail E. Laufer is the CIO of the Ferguson Family Office. Her other activity is through her firm Virid Capital Management, which is devoted to investments in public cleantech companies. Ms. Lauferís career has spanned a broad cross-section of the institutional investment industry. Following her early days as a securities analyst with the National Bank of Detroit she was appointed Director of Mutual Fund Research for Merrill Lynch in New York. She later worked for the Frank Russell Company as a consultant serving Russellís Fortune 500 clients, providing strategy and conducting investment manager research for their pension funds and high net worth clients. In 1997, she co-founded Hanover Square Associates to represent managers and provide marketing consulting services on a contractual basis. Her successful fundraising venture led to her involvement as a partner at the New Energy Fund, a hedge fund devoted to public and private investments in the renewable energy sector. She formed Virid Capital Management in 2009 to focus exclusively on public market investments in the cleantech sector. She continues to invest in the sector as well as speak on the subject of renewable energy and alternative investments. She currently manages the assets of the Ferguson Family Office as well as the assets of individuals and private clients.

She has an A.B. from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. She holds a current Series 7 and 63 brokerage registration.

Tom Lenehan, Deputy CIO, Rockefeller University

Tom Lenehan was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. Tom graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1992. Thereafter, Mr. Lenehan was a financial analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he worked for two years in the Investment Banking Division in both New York and London, and spent a third year in the Principal Investment Area in New York. Mr. Lenehan received his MBA from Stanford University in 1997, having spent a summer working as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. Thereafter, Mr. Lenehan joined Marsh & McLennan Capital, Inc. (aka, Stone Point Capital) in Greenwich, CT for three years, where he served as a member of the direct team charged with making investments in financial services companies globally. In 2000, Tom moved to San Francisco, CA and joined Vista Equity Partners, a private equity fund focused on investments in technology-enabled businesses across a wide variety of industries. In 2005, Tom joined Commonfund Capital, where he primarily focused on manager commitments on behalf of endowment and foundation clients in the Private Equity, Venture Capital and Natural Resources sectors globally. He also led Commonfund Capitalís secondary investment effort. Tom left Commonfund Capital in September 2011 to become the Deputy Chief Investment Officer at The Rockefeller University, helping to manage all aspects of the $1.8 billion endowment.

Previously, Mr. Lenehan served as Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit honor society and a non-profit entity. Tom is married, and he and his wife Julie reside in New York City and have a daughter named Alexandra, and a son named Braeden.

Julian Rundle, CIO, Dorset Asset Management

Julian Rundle has been Managing Partner of Dorset Management since the companyís inception in 2004 and chairs its Investment Committee. Previous to Pequot, Mr. Steinbrugge was a Managing Director and Head of Institutional Sales for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (now part of BlackRock). At that time Merrill ranked as the 3rd largest investment manager in the world. Previously, Don was Head of Institutional Sales for NationsBank (now Bank of America Capital Management).

Mr. Steinbrugge is also a member of the Investment Committees for The City of Richmond Retirement System, a member of the Board of Directors of the Hedge Fund Association, Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens and the University of Richmondís Robins School of Business. In addition, he is a former 2 term Board of Directors member of The Richmond Ballet (The State Ballet of Virginia), The Science Museum of Virginia Endowment Fund and The Richmond Sports Backers Scholarship Fund.

Steve Togher is Director of Research and Co-Chairman of 6800 Capital, L.L.C.ís Investment Committee. Michael van Biema, Founder & Managing Principal, van Biema Value Partners

Michael van Biema is the founder and managing partner of van Biema Value Partners LLC, which focuses on investing in small, opportunistic, emerging and established value-oriented managers globally. Michael established the firm in October 2004.

Mr. van Biema was previously a faculty member of Columbia Business School from 1992 to 2004, where he taught value investing, corporate finance, capital markets, securities analysis, and entrepreneurial finance in both the regular and executive MBA programs. He also served as director of a multi-year, multi-million dollar research project into productivity in the service sector funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.

Mr. van Biema received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University. Before joining the faculty of Columbia Business School, he was involved in several startup ventures and was a principal at the RONIN Development Corporation, a consulting concern specializing in strategic consulting to IT companies.

Mr. van Biema is the author of numerous publications, including an article in the Harvard Business Review entitled ďManaging Productivity in the Service SectorĒ (Summer 1998), and co-author of the book Value Investing from Graham to Buffett and Beyond (Wiley, June 2001), and continues to lecture internationally on value investing.
